Refund and Returns Policy


Carol Barnwell Fine Art recommends that you give serious consideration to any purchase you make. Please select your art work carefully before payment. Pay attention to all the details like the materials used and the dimensions of each piece. This will help you avoid disappointment and additional expenses when returning an item. We want you to be totally satisfied with your purchase and this starts with making the right choice in the first place.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since you purchased your painting, we can no longer offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us by email of your intention to return the painting before shipping it back to us. ( The painting must arrive back in the same original condition that you received it. It must also be in the same/original packaging.

If you wish to make a return because a painting was damaged in transit, we require photographic evidence of the damage that was taken at the time of delivery, so we can claim these damages (with proof of when they occurred). These images should be emailed to us within 48 hours of receipt of the package.

To complete your return, we also require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds may be granted:

Any item not in its original condition, that is damaged or missing parts for reasons that is not due to our error.

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be transferred to your nominated bank account within 14 days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund, first check your bank account.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

NB! Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.


Paintings may be exchanged for one or more, of a similar value, if returned in original condition with in 30 days.

Shipping returns

To return your painting, you should mail/courier your product. Our physical address in Queensland will be advised, when we are notified that you intend to return the item.

You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, any unpaid costs of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If you are returning expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
